61st International Mathematical Olympiad: Saint Petersburg, Russia

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is a mathematical Olympiad for pre-college students, and is the oldest of the International Science Olympiads. The first IMO was held in Romania in 1959. It has since been held annually, except in 1980. More than 100 countries, representing over 90% of the world's population, send teams of up to six students, plus one team leader, one deputy leader, and observers.

Important Dates

May 31, 2020 - Last day for online registration of contestants
June 15, 2020 - Last day for online registration of all travel details (please fill this in earlier if you can)

The IMO 2020 organizing Committee informs about the approved postponement of the IMO 2020 event to September 16-26, 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic.

IMO is the largest and most prestigious of all international Olympiads, having grown from the original seven countries to over a hundred. St. Petersburg has the honor to invite teams from all over the world to the 61 st International Mathematical Olympiad in July 2020.

The Organizing Committee continues to prepare for the IMO in the planned mode and hopes to see in Saint-Petersburg all participants from all countries that planned to take part in the IMO!
